 The Zonnie Method

Every new client begins with a full posture evaluation, comparing the existing state of your body and posture to your ideal.  Next, you learn proper breathing, how to find your deep core muscles, and how to activate those muscles.  From that, an individual program is designed based on your personal goals to correct any misalignment, strengthen weaker muscles, and lengthen dominant muscles while building the core muscles. Zonnie offers private in-studio sessions (on Pilates equipment) and online mat Pilates sessions via Zoom.

Pilates is an effective mind/body program designed to increase awareness and control over your body through posture correction, core strength development and lengthening and balancing of opposing muscles.  Pilates improves overall strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.

The ‘core’ or ‘powerhouse’ as Joseph Pilates coined it, is made up of four deep abdominal muscles that support and stabilize the spine, while strengthening the pelvis to rib cage connection.

All individual programs begin with a full posture evaluation, followed by education about correct posture and the deep core muscles. Next you learn proper breathing and activating your deep core muscles.

Regardless of your age and the condition of your body, Pilates will improve your posture, muscle tone, rehabilitate an injury, prevent further injuries and raise your overall performance.
